Even if you have the best optic and rifle, if the shooter isn’t up to par it’s not going to matter what equipment you have on your rifle. Last summer, my friend was hitting 12″ steel at 400 yards with just his 4moa T1 at 50% of his shots. No magnification at all, so I find that to be very acceptable in a 4Moa red dot. As others have stated…if you want precision…you will want something more than a 1-4x optic. Optics are just like everything else in this world…you have pros/cons on whatever you choose. I understand what you are saying. Im not a expert but i know i can learn fairly easy. Ive been shooting indoor (pistol/rifle) for 3 years now and i am ready for the next step and start shooting outdoor and longer distances. Like i said this is an entry level rifle im putting together so if i get a year out of it im ok with that, i didn’t felt like dumping a lot of money and then not liking it. Depending on how much i like outdoor/distance shooting then im buying a left handed Remington 700 from a guy i met at the show (i am left handed so i would prefer a left handed action). With that said i do want a decent Rifle scope that i can move from the current bolt action to the 700 or whatever other bolt action i end up getting. jukeboxx13

He told me it was simple, he started with the general shape and cut away any thing that didn’t look like what he wanted. It worked for him but not for me.
